Fireflies

    The field trip to Kuala Selangor was amazing. We went by the bus, it was a long bus ride. Than we played some games and we examined our rooms. Than we had some free time to relax in our rooms or do something fun. After the sky was dark blue we went to the fireflies and watched the amazing fireflies in the mangrove trees. The next day we went to plant the mangrove trees in the forest. To make the long story short, the trip was awesome. In the whole trip we used all our SLR's but we used 2 SLR's the most. One of them was Learn Enthusiastically. The other SLR was Think Creatively.

    One of the SLR that I used was Learn Enthusiastically. To me Learning Enthusiastically is learning about something while having fun. An example of this SLR is when we were learning about the Mangroves. An activity that we did while we were learning about the mangrove trees was the mangrove planting. Mangrove planting was fun because we were doing what we would not normally do, getting down and dirty in the mud. Another thing that shows the SLR is when we were looking at the fireflies. Before we aboard our boat to see the magnificent fireflies our teachers told us what kinds of trees they lived in and other information about the fireflies. Watching the fireflies was fun because in the city it is not often to see fireflies any where but here there was a lot of fireflies. While the boat ride my groups' guide started to put a tune from his phone and started to sing to it. To me that was weird because the guide was some what 60 to 70 years old but other than that it was a fun experience and at the same time we learned some facts about the fireflies. This was another thing I call Learning Enthusiastically. These are some of the things we did in the trip.

   The second most used SLR's in the trip was Think Creatively. In my opinion Thinking Creatively is thinking out side the box. In other words thinking in a creative way like you do in art. In the trip we used this SLR when we played the game called "Act It Out". The way the game work is a teacher says a noun and you and your group will try to describe something by acting the seen out without words. One of the nouns was "Fireflies". My group made a 3 people boat with one person paddling the boat and 2 people pointing at a distance figure. Our group won that round. Another thing we did that used the SLR was when we were planting the mangrove tree. While we were planting the mangrove tree lots of people were falling into the mud and getting dirty. At first we were laughing about us falling down, but after we fell down a few times it started to get annoying so we had to think of a way to not slip and fall into the mud again. To make the long story short we decided we will walk quickly and not stay in the same spot for too long. That is what I think Thinking Creatively is all about
